A whole generation og children and youth grow up being part of the Global community, wheter they are fortunate or unfortunate in their living-situation they are a resource to the world. As the mobility and possibilities grow, the youth from any City, Town or Village can be an asset to the rest of the world.

Unfortunately there are too many kids without any possibility of self-development and self-protection. culture kids is giving these children an opportunity to feel important and to be able to master their own life through creativity and meaningful activities. Through Music and Performing arts, these children can create a better future for themselves.

WHY MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS
Music and Performing arts crosses boundaries. It unites people across divides, it brings physical and spiritual sthrength and it educates and generates peace. As something that has the power to inspire whole generations and instigate social change music and performing arts is one of the most important media that exist.

WHAT IS CULTURE KIDS
culture kids create urban mobile performing arts schools culture kids for children and youth with the lack of prospects and opportunities in life. Yearly there is a worldwide simultaneous workshop and concert were proffessional musicians are invited to work with the kids in the respective home places. The income from these concerts are going to yearly school-fees, school-material and uniforms to the kids involved and some food to their families.

WHERE IS CULTURE KIDS
The movement is in demand and is working on the idea of ”organic growth”. We are deeply pending on idealists spearheading the activities and a team of musicians/performing artists, social workers and technicians is needed for every city taking part. Presently culture kids is operating in Bagamoyo-Tanzania, La Plata-Argentina, Banjul- The Gambia, Trivandrum-India.

SETUP
The culture kids setup is very simple it is locally run and monitored through local teams in partnership with relevant Governemntal institutions and Local NGO`s, the coordination is done by ECCO International. The concept is young, positive and pulsating. The methods are contemporaty and is utilising the newest technology. The concerts and performances are of a high standard which appeal to a young and demanding audience
